Welcome to SRMAP Blood Donation! These terms explain your rights and responsibilities when using our platform to donate blood or request donations within our campus community.
Terms of Service
Eligibility
- You must be an SRMAP student or staff member with a valid @srmap.edu.in email address
- Blood donors must be in good health, at least 18 years old, and weigh over 50kg
- All users must provide accurate and truthful information about themselves
- You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding blood donation
Account Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Account sharing is strictly prohibited
- Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach
- Your account may be deactivated after prolonged inactivity (12+ months)
Blood Donation Guidelines
- Donors may contribute only once every 3 months (90 days minimum between donations)
- Complete all health screening questions honestly and accurately
- The system will automatically enforce donation frequency limits
- Donors must wait 24 hours after donation before engaging in strenuous activity
Blood Request Protocol
- Users may submit up to 2 blood requests per day (subject to approval)
- All requests undergo verification before being visible to donors
- Provide complete and accurate information about the blood need
- False or misleading requests will result in account suspension
Prohibited Activities
- Creating false accounts or providing misleading information
- Commercialization of blood donations or any financial compensation
- Harassment of other users or misuse of contact information
- Attempting to circumvent system limitations or security measures
- Any activity that compromises platform integrity or user safety
Privacy Commitment
We protect your personal information as detailed in our Privacy Policy. Data collection is limited to what's necessary to facilitate safe blood donations within our community. Health information is treated with strict confidentiality.
Medical Disclaimer
SRMAP provides this platform to connect donors and recipients but assumes no liability for health outcomes related to blood donation or transfusion. All medical procedures are conducted by qualified professionals at our partner healthcare facilities. Donors and recipients assume all associated risks.
Policy Updates
These terms may be revised periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Significant modifications will be communicated to users via campus email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, compromise platform security, or exhibit harmful behavior. Appeals may be submitted to the campus health center.
